DDR Ram purchase problem

I am thinking of replacing my DDR2 Ram on my AUSU P5VD2-MX motherboard it says the max is 4GB (oldish machine need more speed ) the current Ram is 2 x - KVR533D2N4/1G and thinking of canging for the 2X -KVR667D2N5/2G the only thing thats the 533Mhz and will the 667 Mhz will it be ok - as not that keen to put 2G 0f 533Mhz back in

The specs for your motherboard says the highest memory speed it'll take is 533MHz. While there's a good chance it will take the 667MHz stuff, it's not a guarantee. It's a motherboard from the very early days of DDR2 so it will likely be less happy with little incompatibilities like that compared to newer motherboards.

TLDR; It might work but not definitely.
