Default hard drive question

I received my pc from pc specialist and I choose to have my 120gb ssd as slot 1 and 1tb drive as slot 2.

They installed the operating system onto the ssd as I wanted but whenever I download anything or install any programs it goes into the ssd "program files" folder by default.

I want all the programs I don't use daily to be stored on drive 2 is there a way to change this where everything I download or install doesn't default to the ssd.

The vast majority of applications will give you the option where to install,a few won't however. To install an app on a second hard drive just create a folder on it "programs" for example then browse to that location when installing anything,or better still, simply delete the "C" on "location"when installing the program and type in the drive letter of the drive you want to install to,this will automatically create the necessary folder on the second hard drive the first time you do it.
