Define X1 quick question / gaming pc

I saw the Define X1 and I see it is quite low in price for the specs. However my concern is noise when gaming how loud is it as I don't really want to be playing a game and hearing noise. From what i hear it can be a bit loud.

My other question is would be better of selecting my own parts/another review if it's just for gaming as my budget is 1200-1500. As the Define X1 seems to be overkill for gaming. If so please feel free to suggest one

Another build wouldn't be much quieter tbh. The two noisiest parts during gaming will be the fans of the CPU and GPU. The CPU has the Noctua cooler, which is one of the most effective and quiet air coolers available, and outperforms water coolers of a similar price. If the GPU supplied by is a founders edition, buying it as part of a different PC won't change its sound. Likewise, if it's a Zotac Amp! it's a Zotac Amp!, you're still getting whatever model they have in stock. High end GPUs during gaming aren't know for being whisper quiet, either.

If you bought a slightly lower end GPU such as the GTX 1070 (which is still high end and at least the kind of GPU you should be looking at for your budget) it won't be meaningfully quieter under load:
https://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/NVIDIA/GeForce_GTX_1070/23.html 1db quieter on a founders' edition.

If anything the Fractal case is more likely to keep the sound in check than some others:

You could spec up a build to £1200 and save £300 ofc. That said, you're going to end up with something a lot weaker or with a lot of compromises compared to the Fractal, since the Fractal is ~£1750 or so if configured manually.
And you'd probably be advised by people on the forum to go for things like the Noctua cooler and a Fractal case anyway if you asked for advice no what to use to manage the acoustics as best as possible.

Thank you for the advice. I agree with everything you said. Just mean if I do buy it means I need to do more than gaming as I feel it would go to waste just to game on that beast of a machine

Well you could save videos of your gameplay with Shadowplay and then do some video editing, it would be good for that too. :) But it's really a gaming machine that could run games on decent settings at 4k, or offer very high performance at 1440p as far as I can see.
