Whats the difference between the PCS EXTRA-CARE DIAMOND DELIVERY - MON-FRI, PRE-NOON (£9) and the standard delivery? other than the pre noon, and do you get told when the laptop will be delivered?

I think Diamond delivery means PCS send out a sniper (Gorman usually, though this has never been confirmed nor denied) to watch the driver, and if he/she so much as dents the thick outer box...BOOM!! HEADSHOT!!!

or...I don't know...not sure which tbh...

The only difference is that you'll definitely get it before noon.

And you get texted (on the day of delivery) the hour time slot in which it will arrive - though this applies to standard deliveries as well

That deserves rep, hilarious, just picture it.

Oh okay i might change it back to standard then, although its in building so will a £5 still occur? im hoping not as its just the delivery.

No, It shouldn't. It will not add any additional cost to change delivery methods at any stage of the building process as far as I know.

Its all that + they take extra care through the shipping process.

I don't think they take extra care. That will be just a mess to discriminate between services, all parcels should be treated the same way. In my opinion the diamond service only refers to pre-noon with respect to time. I did choose the diamond service but because of work commitments, the usb ports arrived not working due to a mishandling during transit I assume.

Heres a quote on it from PCS: http://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forum...elivery-Services&p=92282&viewfull=1#post92282

The parcels are treated with more priority than a standard next day parcel. The parcels leave the depot on earlier scheduled lorries and are placed at the back, so are first off. They will be on the priority delivery list on the vans and therefore more likely to be delivered than the remaining standard parcels on the van. Basically they parcels are treated like a VIP.

Extra care get a priority through the DPD network and the pcs are last on the van, so first off for delivery.
