Desktop and Monitor for £1.5k - Best set up for a gaming rig! Please Help!

Hi,

Im looking for a new desktop and monitor with a max budget of £1.5k to replace my ageing laptop. I already have a wireless keyboard and mouse, but need a decent monitor. I want to get my hands on it by next weekend (ideally) but could wait another week or so...and save myself a few more £.

Any suggestions on tweaking the below to get the most bang for my buck? I based the build on the Witcher3 Elite PC recommendation, but added a bigger SSD drive.

I think there are a few options where you could do a lot better.

Either the Hydra 1000 or Black Panthaa off the review section would be similar specs but better value due to fixed low prices.
Hydra 1000 - £1000 fixed price - i5 6600k OCed, 16gbh 2133mhz ddr4, GTX 1060 6gb, Z170-P mobo, H80i cooler, 240gb ssd + 1tb hdd
Black Panthaa - £1049 fixed price - i7 6700k OCed, 16gb 2666mhz ddr4, RX 480, Z170 Pro Gaming mobo, Hyper 212X cooler, 240gb ssd + 1tb hdd

I'm not convinced by the 27" 60hz 1080p monitor with a low response time for £187 either. Maybe go for something like the AOC G2460PF 24 which is 144hz, and being freesync it would be a good pairing for the Black Panthaa. It would work out in total £1250-1300.

Or go for something like this with a GTX 1070 and a 1440p monitor:

You can get 1440p IPS monitors for ~£230 e.g. the AOC Q2577PWQ. That would all come out a bit under your 1.5k budget.

Re - the review PCs, not so keen on AMD graphics card. Thats what I used in my laptop and was flakey to the say the least... I want to try NVIDIA if I can for my money this time!
