My current PC is a 2011 PCSpecialist build (Intel i5-2500, 8GB RAM, Geforce GTS450) still running Windows 7 which I upgraded with a 250 GB SSD for the operating system a few years ago. The main use is running Lightroom and Photoshop and managing an extensive photo collection. I am looking to upgrade the computer and monitor and have set a budget of approx £2k. I am looking to get a Benq SW2700PT 2k 27" monitor (currently £600) and so that leaves me with £1400 for the new computer. My present Lightroom catalogue and previews occupy 293 GB and I intend to put these on the SSD drive, hence the 1 TB size. The actual raw photos will sit on the HDD. All files are backed up to a NAS.
