Desktop PC for Render

Hey guys

This is my first time buying a custom built computer. Just need a little advice on the specs. I have done a lot of reading online on various forums, blogs and websites and it has led me to this website.

It is going to be my desktop PC at work, so i needed something that can handle really heavy architectural/landscape models. I will be mainly using Revit, SketchUP and GPU rendering software like Enscape, VRay and Lumion. As well as rendering i will be doing some video/photo editing for presentations and the marketing team. The Adobe suite will be used often too. My current work desktop is so poor and struggles to run a few Revit landscape models (loads of trees and a few linked models). Enscape(rendering plugin for Revit) doesn't work with the Intel UHD P630 Graphics Card either. It only has a 250GB SSD and 250GB HD. The computer was spec'd from the IT Maintenance Company as a CAD Workstation. Just feel like throwing it in the bin as it ends up getting so laggy when running the simplest of tasks.

Luckily my employer hasn't given a budget, I've just been told to order what I need. Below is the spec i have come up with. Any chance anyone can put their 2 pence in?

Can't really fault, it will do what you need and more - 64GB may even be overkill for what you're doing but I don't know enough about the exact rendering you're doing in CAD. From my understanding, 32gb and a higher frequency clock speed may be a better trade-off

We have a few 32GB desktops in the office. They can run the smaller Revit models fine, its just the ones with landscaping in they cant handle. Thats the only reason i have opted for the higher RAM. I will have a look more into the what you have written.

Thank you for your reply :)
