would this spec be good?

I plan on using this computer for mainly programming and image manipulation. ie running visual studio 10, net beans, local Server, Photoshop simultaneously with hopefully no down time. maybe so gaming but not the main purpose so don't need amazing graphics card! just need support for multiple monitors

my knowledge of hardware is limited so any help or suggestions are welcome thanks you!

Erm, there is a bit I would change, especially the GPU, that one will struggle with any gaming! (Although it does depend on the game!). Other things to consider would be the silver warranty, upgrade the motherboard to a full atx motherboard (strongly recommended!). And homeplugs instead of a wifi card. That said, it mainly depends on your budget!

For gaming that GPU is so bad you would be just as good sticking with on board graphics (which would also be terrible). It should suppoert up to 2 monitors.

The cheapest GPU I would suggest for any kind of gaming would be a HD6670, which would add about £30 to the cost of your system. For reference its about 2-3 times faster than the 210. It should support up to 4 monitors.

Also, as MusicGuy mentioned, since your case is big enough to fit a standard sized motherboard you should definitely upgrade to the non-micro version - it's actually £2 cheaper as well as having more expansion potential.

I'd recommend the 1600mhz RAM which is about the same price or maybe even a little cheaper. The memory controller in the CPU runs at 1600mhz by default, so they'd sit nicely together. You might not see the difference in practice but you could measure it. As it's not a cost increase it makes sense. The 1333mhz memory really suits the Nehalem and Westmere chipsets.

I'd agree with the point about the graphics card, the on-board would be superior.

Also if you can stretch to an i7 for the intensive work that will make a difference.
