Does amending an Order put it to the back of the queue? (build inside)

I ordered this PC about 2 weeks ago and its still in preproduction which is normal, but was thinking of making a few upgrades using the amend order option. Mainly the PSU upgrade to a 750 watt and maybe add liquid cooling rather than the standard fan cooler.

So A: would this reset my build time? i.e would pre production restart and have to wait an extra two weeks and
B: are these upgrades even worth it or necessary for my build

Thanks!

A. No, it wont affect you place in the build queue, there are circumstances where changes require you to cancel and re-order, but changing the PSU and/or cooler would not require that so you'd still be where you were in the queue

B. I'd definitely want higher than the 650W for the 3070Ti, NVidia recommends 750W, so I would get 750W at the very very least but that wont leave much room if you add extra stuff later on, and PSU's run better when not being maxed to the full anyway

Though what you might want to do is state your budget and state what you'll be using the machine for as in many cases the 12th gen Intel CPU's are better value at the mo - also if sticking with AMD that slow RAM will not be helping, so some of our forum members will probably have some suggestions for you.

Thanks for the answer!

My budget is around 2100 euros which I believe is around 1800 pounds sterling? My main use of the PC will be playing games in 1080p at high frame rate like Valorant and also streaming them. I dont think amend lets m switch to Intel as its an AMD build, at least not without logging some sort of ticket, but am open to suggestions!

Monitor will be a

  • 27' curved -freesync
  • Samsung Odyssey C27G75TQSU - 27"
  • WQHD VA display (2560 x 1440)
  • 1 ms response time
  • 240Hz refresh rate

I think this is the config link!

FYI, that's a 1440p monitor rather than 1080p. As much as you could down-scale to 1080p to hit your resolution, it's not going to look right as the pixel density won't allow for a uniform scale.

My bad, I'll probably play in 1440p and downscale my streaming to 1080p. I havent bought the monitor yet so that is just the plan for now.

Update: I made some changes based on feedback here

Change to [16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 3600MHz (2 x 8GB)] from [16GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR4 2666MHz (2 x 8GB)]
Change to [CORSAIR 750W TXm SERIES™ SEMI-MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET] from [CORSAIR 650W CV SERIES™ CV-650 POWER SUPPLY]
Change to [CoolerMaster Hyper 212 (120mm) Fan CPU Cooler Black Edition] from [STANDARD AMD CPU COOLER]
Change to [ASUS® PRIME B550-PLUS (DDR4, USB 3.2, 6Gb/s) - ARGB Ready!] from [GIGABYTE B550 GAMING X V2 : DDR4, USB 3.2 - ARGB Ready]

Basically upgraded the RAM to 3600 and added the 750w PSU and a better processor cooler!
