Dual Monitor audio issues

Hi, I am having audio issue with my new PC when using dual monitors.

Monitor 1 is 4K 60hz and set as monitor 1 in display settings.
Monitor 2 is 4K 144hz and set as monitor 2 in display settings and also set as main display.
I also have Logitech G635 gaming headset connected.

I use monitor 1 for watching Netflix/Youtube etc.
I use monitor 2 for gaming.

I am using the volume mixer in Windows 11
Monitor 1 is perfectly happy running audio through it from Netflix/Youtube.
I can run audio from either source (gaming or Netflix) through my G635's by selecting them in volume mixer.
I cannot get games to run audio through my Monitor 2 while monitor 1 is running audio via Netflix/Youtube.
If I set Monitor 2 to the game via volume mixer there is no audio at all, if I set it to default it plays audio through monitor 1.

I could just use my G635's when gaming but it kinda defeats the object of having a second monitor to have videos playing in the background.

I hope I'm just being a dingus and there's a simple solution but I cannot for the life of me figure out why this is happening.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Via DP but I understand it can carry audio and video no problem.
No, DP just carries video, doesn't handle audio at all, that's HDMI.

Well, it can carry audio, but it's up to the product port it's connecting to weather that's been implemented or not.

Try connecting monitor 2 with HDMI and see if audio works.

I tried something I hadn't thought of before. I changed the display in game to Monitor 1 and back to 2, Monitor 2 is now playing in game audio. Seems a bit convoluted but I'll remember this for other games I play. Thanks for all your help SpyderTracks.

Sorry, wasn't much help, must admit, I've not played with windows audio ouputs in this way, glad you got a workaround though.
