Hi,
I just bought a new PC from PCSpecialist, and love it.
The only trouble is, I've been using one monitor up to date. I've bought a second monitor along with a DIV to VGA cable (so I can use two monitors at once), but the DVIport on my computer won't take the DVI end of the cable. It's the right shape, and seems to have all the right bits to fit into the port, but to no avail
I'm wondering, can anyone tell me have I bought the right cable?
My graphic card is a 6GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2060, and the cable I've bought is a DVI-I to VGA cable.
I'm hoping it's that I've bought the wrong cable, and that it's not a problem with the DVI port on my computer.
If the problem doesn't lay with the cable, I really need to be getting on with my work, and can't be waiting weeks, maybe months to send the computer back to be repaired... does anyone know of another way I can connect two monitors to my computer? Is there an adapter/converter I can buy to connect my PC to a second monitor?
I know my PC has two HDMI ports, but that doesn't let me use a spit screen. My second monitor has a VGA port, that's why I bought a DVI to VGA cable.
Advice appreciated!
Thanks,
Zoe
