Eco II

hi could anyone tell me if the eco II should have a fan attached to the radiator as i have had the old one replaced and they have sent me out one with out fan and i do not no if i should put it on and try it with out it or wait to see if it needs it . any thoughts??

I think the fan is essential, its a bit like a car radiator will probably over heat without the fan drawing/pushing air through it. I'd recommend contacting whoever replaced the item to make sure they did not make a mistake.

i have just recieved it from pcspecialist rma as my other one failed and so did the fan so they asked me to send it all back but they sent me a new one without a fan whats all that about?

could ya be a bit more specific, it sounds like ya had eco II then that failed and ya sent it back? But you just return the liquid cooler or did ya send everything the case the lot?

Then ya got ya new one? was it connected up? but the 120mm fan was missing?

Could you provide pics? As i have a eco and i can't see how pcs would fit it without a fan?

Hello,the new eco II does'nt come with a fan and that's new from Coolit,whoever sent that out should have sent you a fan and screw's as well,ring the call centre first thing in the morning and a fan will be sent out to you.

pcs replaced my first one as it leaked then they replaced it with a COOLIT DOMINO A.L.C. CPU LIQUID COOLER but this one failed as the computer kept shutting down and was over heating even after they told me to power up the fan so they asked me to send it all back to them as they thought the fan was faulty as well so they tested it and it it was faulty so they sent me eco II out but with out the fan!! hope that helps

so they sent ya out the new eco without the 120mm fan? I'd give them a bell and ask them to send ya one out.

So number one cooler - leaked
number two cooler domino cooler - computer kept crashing?
number three cooler - came missing the 120mm fan?

First thing i notice, is if ya first eco leaked, why didn't you send the whole pc back to pcs? as this could be why it's crashingh with the second cooler?

i know i said that when after 11 months it leaked but they told me that everything was ok then the delivery company smached it up so it had to go back agian and have new case and loads of other parts but they say it was fine replaced ghaphic card with cheaper one but all i want is my bloody computer working!!!! and now this so it just coming up to two years old they have had it approx 3 months of that time and i normal replace my computer every three years!!!

i get ya frustration, have ya not got a spare 120mm pwm controlled fan? if ya have ya could connect up the eco using that fan. If not give them a call and ask for the fan, then connect it up, its easy to do, if ya need any advice post on here or give me a shout.

Then we can start looking at reasons why the pc keeps crashing, as that might have been down to the 2nd cooler not working properly, and temps being too high, did you keep ya eye on the temps by any chance?

got fan back to day fitted all back in computer but need help with wires i have put fan in cpu fan but where does the wire on the eco II go in please advise me
i have a: ASUS® RAMPAGE III EXTREME: 3-Way SLI & CrossFireX, SATA 6.0GB/s, USB 3.
cha fan 1 or opt fan1 opt fan3 which one?
