After numerous years of reliable service, my old laptop has finally reached a point where it is simply unable to keep up with the demands of my work or hobbies. As such, I decided to seek out the cheapest way to get a laptop which would be robust and powerful enough to do everything I need it to now, and hopefully for a good few years to come.
The Elimina Pro 16" seemed like the best balance of options. For cheaper than most mass market gaming laptops, I was able to get an i7 14 Core Processor, 2 x 32GB RAM and NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 4050 graphics card, with 3TB of SSD memory, which are exceptional specs for the price point! The laptop arrived in good time and in excellent condition. It's remarkably lighter than I expected, allowing it to function excellently as both a home laptop for gaming and a mobile laptop for work on-the-go.
So far, I am very happy with its performance. It's extremely quick on boot-up and running basic office tasks, and it can handle modern games like Baldur's Gate 3 Early Access at relatively high graphics levels without trouble. The fans can be quite loud if it's using a lot of processing power (e.g. during gaming sessions), but not loud enough to be a problem and it works very well at keeping the device relatively cool even under demanding performance conditions. An unfortunate problem with my PC's PSU forced me to use it as my main PC for a couple of days, and it performed admirably throughout.
All told, I am very happy with my purchase and will be keeping an eye out for PCSpecialist next time I need to replace or upgrade one of my computers!
