Enigma II / Compal NBLB2 - Swap 'Fn' key with 'Ctrl' key

Hi all,

I recently purchased a laptop from pcspecialist, its an amazing machine, everything I could hope for.

The only quibble I have is that the 'Fn' key is where the 'Ctrl' key is. I was wondering if anyone had any solutions for swapping these around?

I've tried a few keyboard mapping tools but I guess the best way would be to flash the bios so its permanent and then just swap the keys over on the keyboard with a screwdriver.

If anyone has successfully been able to make this alteration please let me know.

Hi Simont and welcome!

I'm afraid we are not aware of any method to permanently make the alteration you have suggested other then the aforementioned remappers. Also from personal experience swapping the keys around is very time consuming, fiddly and prone to breaking.
