Enigma II not powering up

Hi,
Any ideas on how to reset CMOS? When power button pressed, buttons light up for about 5 seconds then go off. No fan or HDD sound like normal.

Battery OK, does not make any difference if power cable connected. W7 shut down normally, no hibernate or sleep mode.

Thanks

You cannot reset the CMOS on laptops as easily as on desktop PC's - it's a long process of pulling the chassis apart.

I don't think a reset is needed here - there's probably something else wrong. I would recommend you contact our call centre on 0844 499 4000 for further diagnosis and assistance.

Although I don't own a PCSpecialist laptop I do own a W7 PC and I had a similar issue once when reinstalling my W7 when I first got it. I did what is recommended above. Took out the battery for 10 mins, waited a bit and put it back in. It started perfectly well. I think it may have to do with W7 as much as anything else.

As PCS mentioned above, we wouldn't recommend you attempting to remove the CMOS battery as you will need to take the whole chassis apart. If something goes wrong it could invalidate your warranty so I'd recommend you give our support team a call to see what they can do.
