Hi, just wondering if anyone could tell me the size of the connecter, or any information about chargers that I can use with this laptop.
As im not the original owner, customer service are not able to help me.
All I can see from the laptop is its a 12v - 3a charger. X35 chassis.
only other laptop im aware of that uses that combo is the Geobook line.
Dont want to order down a charger that doesnt fit though.
Thanks

There will be one with a manufacture like clevo or tongfang and a model number, it may be that X35, but there's no mention of the manufacturer.

The only other thing on the bottom, under the address for pc specialist, is an address in Shenzhen, china, for "EA Excelsior"

That's the adapter. I mean of the laptop or is that the laptop?

I've never seen a chassis with a label like that from PCS.

I have no idea what make and model it is, I'm afraid you'd have to ask PCS just what make and model the chassis is, sure they'd answer that.

I would have thought they'd tell you which charger model you need as well

That is the base of the laptop
There isn't anything else around it

It's really weird, there's nothing coming back on a search for the following:

PC1-1291924 (part number)
Or X35

EA Excelsior returns a manual for a 2 in 1 device, perhaps that's it? I didn't appreciate it had touchscreen? Does the screen separate from the laptop like a tablet?

I don't think that's the right device above, but may use the same charger.

But I wouldn't do any guesswork, I would call PCS and ask very nicely if they may be able to advise you on the part number of the charger, be really nice, I'm sure they'll help out. They won't be able to sell one directly as you don't have a warranty account, but I'm sure they could steer you in the right direction.

I would generally recommend where possible to always use manufacturers chargers. Even if the aftermarket ones have the right electrical parameters, they can still cause issues in the longer term.

Why do you need a replacement charger though, was it provided like that by the seller? When did you purchase it? It's going to be rather difficult to maintain without transferring the warranty, any legitimate seller would do that once payment was made, and that would then give you access to a PCS account. If it's been sold to you with a dodgy power supply and no warranty, I would very strongly recommend cancelling the purchase as you're not going to get very far without drivers and hardware support.

It was sold by a 3rd party IT reclaim, without a power supply.
I have no way of knowing who the original purchaser was.
PC Specialist customer support said that they cant advise further without a transfer of ownership in their systems

Yeah, I'd return it, even an IT reclaim would know it's useless without ownership transfer.

I'd return it.
