Ethernet not working

Thanks for the otherwise entirely excellent PC. However I've lost ethernet several times on a PC that is about 4 weeks old. I've tried different wires/ports in the router (all work on an old W10 machine) and uninstalling the driver which worked the first time but not this time. Any ideas?

You'll need to fully uninstall bullguard.

Can you take a screenshot of your windows update page?

Can you take a screenshot of your full device manager page?

Is wifi working?

You need to install all of those, the system isn't configured without them.

Ah! Thank you. I assumed that optional drivers were actually optional! Ethernet seems to be working now and Wifi turned off!
