fan curve, icue issue ,bios help please

Hi there, so running icue all fans curves set up ok, but i am finding icue a little bit of a pain now and again . It will sometimes disconnect aio for a split second and connect back, this can happen quiet a lot, and sometimes not at all .

I have seen there are some issues with this software from what i have been reading. I was able to turn off icue and the cooler fan profile works ok without icue running . But the case fan profile does not work and the case fans just spin up very high and very loud when icue is off
I then thought ok, i will go into the bios to set a curve for the case fans . The case fans are not reacting to anything i do in the bios . i am sure they are identified as chass 2 in bios and i have chass 1 as well, which is the rear case fans and i can change that as much as i want in the bios .

Are the case fans not responding in bios because they are connected straight to the corsair commander , and icue is only way to control them , do i need to remove the cable from the commander and plug into motherboard so i can set fan curve in the bios for these fans . If so can someone help me with the procedure for doing this please. Ie where on motherboard would i connect them too please ? Thank you very much

Yep, pretty much. If they are connected to the Commander, they will ignore anything set in BIOS, Armoury Crate, etc. The fans will follow what ever profile is set in iCUE.

You could connect the fans to the PWM repeater that should have come with the case, and from there into one of the fan headers. You can then use BIOS or Armoury to set a custom fan curve.

Yes at moment it goes from repeater to corsair module . was just looking into it and think if i get an extension cable 4pin pwm i think is right, i can then unplug the wire from the corsair module , extend that cable using the extension cable and attach to cha fan2 terminal on motherboard, Then would be able to set fan curve in bios for the case fans ? Does that sound correct ? Thanks

If by "module" you mean the PWM repeater, then yes you could do that. Although if it were me, I'd connect it to the CPU_OPT header if it's free, and use BIOS to set fan curve for FAN_CPU. The OPT header just mirrors whatever CPU is set to, so you set the curve on CPU and iCUE (which I presume is connected to FAN_CPU) will ignore any curve and apply the profile set in iCUE.

thanks, so to clarify if i plug from repeater into cpu opt , i can then access from cpu fan option in bios , set my curve and the case fans will just use that curve when icue is shut down ?
