Fans for pcs

Short answer - No it wont destroy your PC or reduce its lifetime, it probably will impact 'performance' (in terms of loudness).

Longer answer:

I'm not sure what you're asking... You can't just 'keep adding fans' there aren't enough connection points or mounting points on your case.

But if you add too many you might have a detrimental impact on air flow and it'll be MUCH louder.

Oh sorry it’s just when I was checking the upgrade feature it says I can have three more fans. I don’t know though maybe PCS got mixed up.

Ok, you certainly can have more fans, but why do you want them? More doesn't always mean better...

Its probably better if you post your full spec and we can discuss it if needs be - or if you already have a thread discussing your spec add this question in there about if its worth it or now.

More fans isn't always the answer unless you have a budget level case that needs anything to produce airflow....sometimes less fans is better...my current system has 3 fans plus the CPU fan and it runs much cooler than my old system which had 4 fans plus a CPU liquid cooler
I have the PCs p209, not that great for airflow I know but it looked nice so I bought it

That motherboard has the capacity for RGB LED strips....doesn't mention RGB fans so I would guess not

However, I have just run through a spec on the configurator using the H310 motherboard and a case I know doesn't have any RGB fans...if I try to put through a spec with an aRGB fan kit added, the configurator won't let me do it...however, if I select an RGB fan kit, the configurator displays no message about it. So, based on that, I would guess you can add RGB fans...you would still need a controller probably to connect then
Don't you get a controller with it and I checked my manual and it has 1 rgb header so would that mean I need to have splitters or I guess will I need to give PCS splitters.

Thank you

Not always...it depends what fans you get...some are simply a pack of, for example, 3 fans. It does seem that all the fan sets PCS supply do come with a controller so that's fine. If you are sending it back for PCS to fit the fans for you, then they would take care of any splitters and whatnot.....however, if there will be a controller then it may not need splitters as the controller would connect to the RGB header and then the fans into the controller..just depends how many RGB slots the controller has. Anyway, PCS would sort all that out assuming that's what you are planning.

However, if you are planning on sending it back for PCS to install them, be prepared to be without your system for up to a month...that is how long RMAs are taking and I imagine a similar timeframe for upgrades
Thank you but is the wait just because PCS are very busy or the components are not in stock.

It's because they are insanely busy at the moment due to the huge increase in demand for systems due to Covid and homeworking as well as new CPUs and GPUs late last year caused a huge surge....some of the RMA queue is down to new components not doing what they are supposed to, stuff like that.

If it was me, I'd wait until things calm down a bit...unless you are happy being without your system for so long of course
Yes thank you anyways for the help
