Final Check - 17.3" Vortex III

I am about ready to buy my first PC Specialist laptop. This particular spec. is from the reviews section and saves me over £250 in comparision to the standard customisation screen. It's cheaper than the same spec with the 7970m in fact. Any views or misgivings for this spec. before I proceed?

I am going to be purchasing exaclty the same laptop as you and like you was going to get the same spec from review section my only worry is since we cant change anything do you think standard thermal cooling paste will be good enough and there is also the problem of not being able to have 1 year collect and return.

have you considered a Seagate hybrid drive and a 7970m for similar performance at a lower price? samsung ram would be fine as well and add the silver warranty for a fiver

the 7970m is £226 cheaper when I just checked against the 680m

7970m gives higher fps against the 680m with latest drivers in 11/20 games tested on notebookcheck.net, however all results are very similar tbh

The review version seems to be cheaper than going for the HD 7970m if you choose the same components.

Thats certainly true.

Also one 680m is more money than two hd 7970m's nvidia overpricing at its peak.
