Hi all, a final query before I go ahead and put my order in, I currently have the 550W PSU and am wondering about future upgrades mainly to the GPU. I recent bought a 1660 super which I intend to keep for a good while however my next upgrade will probably be a 2060 or 2070 later on, should I keep the 550 in this case or go for a 650W now to save needing to swap it over?

I just upgraded my PSU to 650 as I'm putting a 2070 in

I would up it to the 750w RMx personally. There have been issues reported with the TXm which hasn't been bottomed out and the 3070 GPUs need more juice. Future GPUs will be in the same vain.

I'm going to need to upgrade my PSU for my next build for the first time in around 8 years due to over-speccing wisely when I purchased my 750w PSU.

It pays dividends to think way into the future.

Ditto, in fact my mate has the PSU from my old (now defunct) 2010 rig.

it always amazes me people seem to go - £600 gfx card - check, £60 PSU - check.

bit like putting cheap tyres on a car, at some point the decision will come back and bite you.

Cases can be similar case £900 gfx card and an £80 (or less) budget case.

Thanks for the advice all, I'll keep it in mind. I think for now I'll leave it as is. I don't do much high end gaming and even in a year or 2 a 2060 Super will be more than enough for my needs. If there's issue's I've got the warranty to fall back on.
