Anyone have any suggestions? I'm at my budget limit here so nothing expensive. I would go for the hybrid drive but I'm going to purchase an mSata SSD later for the OS and upgrade to 16GB RAM, but I simply can't afford it right now. Thanks! :)

I would say go for this build as it gives a greater upgrade path later on :)

Sorry but as much as I'd like to pick the 17.3, the reason I'm going for the 15.6 is the portability as I'll be taking it to school all the time, and my friend owns a 17.3 Optimus and my other friend owns a 15.6 whateveritis and to be honest I need the portability :p

Are you sure you need an optical drive? I am a very heavy PC / laptop user and I haven't touched an optical disc in *years*.

I opted for "2nd / 3rd HD caddy" option instead of an optical drive. Only a small saving, but why pay for something that will never be used?

As much as I'd love to go for the 2nd Caddy, I will be using it. A few of my games are on disc, and I will be watching a load of DVDs.
