Hi everyone,

So I have finally received my PC Specialist custom built PC!
I thought I would post some pictures to the forums, mainly due to the reason that whilst I was waiting for my PC to go through all the stages, I couldn't keep away from the forums due to sheer excitement of receiving my own PC! :D Also thought this would be a nice little read for people who have ordered parts such as the Intel Xeon Quad Core or the Quadro graphic cards because I haven't seen a lot of threads with these parts inc. in builds. I ordered this spec because I am a heavy 3-D program user (constantly using Maya, Mudbox, AAE and Photoshop) and unfortunately my poor old little PC couldn't handle these programs at all, so I realised it was time to burn a hole in my pocket! Haha.

Why I came to PCS:

I decided to come to PC Specialist for help with my build because I had heard much praise on their customer service skills, product knowledge and overall, being a great company. My experience with the company definitely is a positive one, and I would love to thank all of the company and the forum-goers too, because you also helped with picking certain parts of my build, so thanks! :)

Stages of production:

I recieved the PC on the 20th working day (dispatched on the 19th) and although this build took a little long (feels even longer when you're so excited, I'm sure you'll agree) this was through no fault of PCS, the fan controller was out of stock for a short period, and I decided to wait it out... I was e-mailed straight away that the part was out of stock, I was also given the ETA for the part and was given the options of amending the order and dropping the controller, or waiting it out. So no negative points there. :)

The PC and DPD:

The day that the order was dispatched, I instantly received a text and e-mail to inform me that my PC was on it's way and also provided a link to DPD's tracking service, so that I could constantly keep track of the whereabouts of my package. This is a perfect little way of getting the customer more excited as it (very) quickly makes it's way across the country.
I live around 3/4 hours from PCS' buildings, and the package made it's way all across the country in under a night - excellent! The next day I was text the ETA of my package (9.44-10.44AM) and true to their word, DPD arrived at half past 10.
The DPD mailman himself was very kind and helped bring in the VERY large box into the house! Got to admit, I definitely underestimated how heavy the package was and had to get my brother to carry it up the three flights of stairs, haha. :sweatdrop:

The packaging arrived in perfect condition, no bashes, tears, rips or whatever else. I had to remove the side panel of the case to remove an inner packaging to protect the components (which is fantastic way of protecting, might I add!) and reconnect the side fan - this was an easy enough job for a noob like me so if you're worrying about that, please don't. :)

Once hooking up the PC, I was pleasantly surprised to hear how quiet the PC is when running (unlike my old PC where you could hear it running a mile off, haha) and it works perfectly. All I had to do was enter in the W7 product key and PCS had done everything else for me! :D So far, I have had no problems with the PC at all, it runs extremely quickly, particularly in the 3D programs I spoke about earlier, which is a major bonus! All-in-all, perfect. Thank you very much!

Links to the pictures: (must apologise for some of the quality, but hey, pictures make threads much nicer) ;)

http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/ac219/Nugget2704RS/New%20PC/019.jpg - the extremely big box it arrived in! (excuse my baby brother's nappies, haha.)
http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/ac219/Nugget2704RS/New%20PC/020.jpg - the smaller box inside, 'the welcome pack', this held all spare parts, wires, installation CDs, etc
http://i901.photobucket.com/albums/ac219/Nugget2704RS/New%20PC/024.jpg - the PC: HAF 932 full tower case.

Nice PC and Pics!

Might sound a strange question but do you know what desk that is? I'm looking for one like it and that might fit my specs?
