Budget: £2000, but don't want to spend more than I need to.
Monitor: Dell S2721DGF (1440p 165Hz)
Will mostly be using the PC for gaming but also for some software development work as well.

Build looks spot on, very well balanced.

You've got some headroom to spruce it up, specifically the case, cooler, cpu if you wanted to, I would personally definitely up the case to something like the Lian Li as a minimum on that build. Cooler, I'd go for the coolermaster 240 just for quietness, and the cpu, I'd personally push to the 5800x for added futureproofing.
