Hello there,

Firstly, I'd just like to say, I have searched a number of times for the answer to my question on this forum and haven't particularly found it. Anyway, 2 things I'm going to ask.

Apologies for the spammage, anyway, I would just generally like some advice regarding this build, would you say it's too much for someone like me who's just starting off with PC gaming? etc.

Second question, I am planning to get this on finance as quite frankly, as an 18 year old student/part time worker, I do not have £1800 cash lying around, saying that, I will be obtaining between £1700-£2300 in the near future and as I mentioned I have a part time job (17-20 hours a week), so I was just wondering if, with the experience of you guys, with my circumstances (I also tick the other boxes, UK national etc.) I could get this build on finance?

Thanks in advance, and good on you for reading this whole post! :D

The Iiyama monitors come with a DVI cable so you don't need any extra cables :)

I think i read a post a while ago, i can't find the thread now, that the person couldn't get finance, because he wasn't working full time or something.. Not sure.. Unless PCS comments on here, ring up tomorrow :)

Hey Tom, thanks for the post/advice!

Ultimately I think that considering, even though I have more than enough money in my account for the deposit, my card isn't working, I'll probably have to hold off buying a PC at least until I can get this bloody card working . But yeah I've still got time to decide whether or not I need such a powerful rig, ultimately my heart is saying yes, head is saying think about it.

I certainly intend to, unfortunately I have been rejected for finance so it looks like I'll have to wait a good few weeks until I can buy it :(. A little gutted but it does mean I can save a bit of money by buying some of the components/accessories off Amazon. Thanks for yous help though guys!

It may just be as simple as the fact you have no credit history yet which may be why they declined you.

It's always a good idea to buy without finance when you can anyways :)

Exactly my thoughts, and hey, I can get a Gainward GTX 580 Phantom with the 'saved' money, so it's not all bad :D.
