First gaming pc - help needed

Hi have chosen the following spec for my first gaming PC. I already own a PC which is now 10 years old but was mainly used for work purposes. I now want a PC which will last a long time and will be used for gaming but also video editing, work & basically a lot of multi-taking. The spec I chosen is much more expensive that I planned. Can you please advise and make appropriate changes to what i actually do not need.

Thanks

To lower the cost of your spec you could choose the P9X79 motherboard instead, a gtx 670 (offers close performance to the GTX 680) and a 330 SSD Intel drive. Are you planning to overclock your cpu? SLI? You could also try onboard audio first before adding a soundcard and at least silver warranty for £5.

Is there much difference between the 330 SSD Intel series and the 520? I am going for the gtx 670 graphic card, it does save a few pounds! What about the Processor? Am i paying too much for it?

Between the 330 and 520 I don't think you will be able to notice a difference in day to day applications unless you are benchmarking. If you are planning to run very cpu intensive applications you should benefit from the i7-3930k, a cheaper alternative would be the i7-3770.
