What's your max budget?

Is it only for gaming?

This is really breaching the lowest tier that would make it worthwhile, but all depends on budget.

£1K is pretty much my max. It won’t be my main gaming machine, I’m a pretty casual gamer but would like the option to play PC titles And maybe expand to VR later or upgrade if it takes over from my console playing. Plus I need a new desktop, was going to spend a grand on a new iMac but thought I’d return to windows.

That would be a much stronger base for upgradeability. The PSU has headroom for a significant GPU upgrade in the future, and the motherboard is current also so will allow pretty good upgradeability.

Wow thanks Spyderyracks. Is there a huge difference in the processor, rather than wait 2 weeks For the 3300? I feel if I don’t commit now ill talk myself out buying one eventually lol!

Yes, you'd need a 3300x as an absolute minimum, the 3100 would be a bottleneck and reduce performance.

Don't wait, order it now with the placeholder and then change it when it's back in stock.
You wouldn't have to wait anyway, the build would be in the queue for over 2 weeks. Takes about a month for a build to be shipped at the moment.
