First time buyer: few questions about the custom laptops

I'm thinking of buying a PCspecialist laptop for the first time but a have a few questions.
How bad if the sound quality from the speakers and where are they located on the laptops?
How long does the battery last if I'm just surfing the web and writing reports etc on Word?
For games like Advanced Warfare or StarCraft, is there any benefit of getting a DDR5 graphics card over a DD3 one?

I'm considering buying Cosmos II or possibly SkyFire IV (more likely to buy the former though)?

in computer components the rule of thumb is the higher the number in the name the more powerful it is gonna be, but also it is also usually correct that the higher the number the higher the TDP or power consumption
ddr5>ddr3>ddr
i7>i5

about the battery: the i7 is more powerful, but in case you need tha battery to last more you can always deactivate 2 cores while not plugged, effectively becoming an i5, and reducing in doing so the TDP, which means less battery use

tell us a budget and what are you gonna use it for (name the most demanding things, and what you want run, up to 2-3 years from now) and we can tell you a build fit to you

On battery: I'll be moving around the university and primarily just be using word processing, surfing the internet and possibly watching YouTube videos (or other video files).
On mains: playing games and watching high def movies etc and do work every now and again
I'll be playing games like Advanced Warfare and other First person shooter games
This laptop has to last me at least 5 years I'd say but preferably longer (maybe up to 10)
I'll be storing loads of work and movies/games etc on it
I'd like the battery to last at least a few hours
The sound quality on speakers has to be decent (will a different soundcard improve it?)

So far, I'm thinking of this:
Cosmos II
1TB SSHD
Quad core i7 processor (4710MQ)
GTX Nvidia Graphics card (GTX 850M)
Extreme cooling Arctic paste
DVD RW player
No operating system (I can install this by myself)
Total price so far:£608

Budget- about £600 but I can stretch it to £700 if necessary

For your budget the cosmos looks like the best choice. I really doubt it will last 10 years though, some components may experience faults or it will just become obsolete with newer applications, for gaming definitely not 10 or 5 years unless you play not very demanding games.

Hmm..so how long will the battery last on those specs? What if I set it so it deactivates 2 cores on battery?

And are the speakers located near the screen and not under the laptop? Will a different sound card improve sound quality from the speakers?
