Hi all,
First off, thanks for taking the time to read through, check and respond!

I've decided to look into building a computer for my photo/video editing needs rather than buy a pre-made one, but I am getting a bit overwhelmed with a lot of the tech info and am on the verge of chickening out and buying premade, aha. Any advice or reassurance would be amazing!
As I said I will be using the computer for video and photo editing, Adobe programs require a minimum of 8GB of RAM and the Video editing software I use requires 16GB.

What is your budget and presumably you do photo editing on a 1440p monitor or 4k photos / videos?

Do you “stitch” together many photos for large panoramic landscapes or do a lot of HDR pictures at all?

You mentioned Adobe so I assume you Are using Lightroom / Photoshop. What’s the video software ?

Are you keeping or retiring your old PC and if retiring what version of Windows are you running?

Could you also include the url link for that spec please.

My budget is pretty flexible at the moment. Between £2-3k?

I don't tend to create panoramic landscapes, but I tend to use elements from a few photos to create 1 final image.

The video software is Avid Media Composer - I use an online/offline workflow.

I'm planning to retire my old one, it's a premade from 2016 and is really starting to show its age.
