Fortnite not loading, stuck on connecting screen

Brought a PC from PC Specialist and having a few teething issues in getting Fortnite to play. This is the main parts of my spec and if there's anyone that could help that would be amazing:

(CPU)AMD Ryzen 5 7600 Six Core CPU (4.0GHz-5.2GHz/38MB CACHE/AM5)
MotherboardASUS® TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI (DDR5, USB 3.2, 6Gb/s)
Memory (RAM)32GB Corsair VENGEANCE RGB DDR5 6000MHz (2 x 16GB)
Graphics Card12GB AMD RADEON™ RX 6700 XT - HDMI, DP - DX® 12

I've tried the following:

* Running the .exe in compatibility mode
* Verifying game cache
* deleting the webgame cache here: %localappdata%
* uninstalling the game
* reinstalling the game
* Forcing it to run in Direct 11 mode using a command line on the Epic Games Launcher
* reinstalling Visual C++ Redistributables here

At my wits end with this tbh with you. I was originally going to go down the Intel route but chose AMD due to the advise here. But always seem to have problems with them!
If anyone could help put me in the right direction that would be much, much appreciated.

yeah sure - windows updates take an age too and when i had it brand new (few days ago), it was stuck on a 'windows is updating' loop: eventually got there:

What's the actual issue you're having? You haven't said what's going wrong?

What's your wifi speeds? have you connected the antenna? I don't think this is anything to do with it being an AMD system, just sounds like it's not fully setup yet.

What antivirus are you using?

Have you used any driver updater tool?

Can you post a screenshot of your optional updates page?

The answer is of course, don't play Fortnite, it's a Childs game, get into some proper games ;)

I don't play Fortnite, it's for my son.
In relation to the issue at hand, it's stuck on the connecting screen as per the screenshot (thought I had posted it earlier, apologies)

I have connected the Antenna and wi-fi is working fine.
Anti Virus wise I'm using Avast and I have tried to do all this with the wi-fi turned off too
I've also enabled these ports within Windows Defender: https://www.epicgames.com/help/en-U...rtnite-a5720237410331?sessionInvalidated=true as per here

Windows is fully upto date and so are the AMD drivers

Try turning Avast off and leave windows defender too look after things, having 2 anti virus programs is not a good idea

Thank you Martin ,I didn't realise Windows Defender was an anti virus too. What I did was do as you say and at the same time, uninstalled AMD Adrenalin and the Graphics drivers. Then restarted and reinstalled AMD Pro as opposed to Adrenalin drivers (kept avast off).
It now works! Albiet very slow and glitchy, so going to try AMD Adrenalin now and see if that works

@SteveEllesmore311 stevee, you're best uninstalling Avast totally, you'll probably have to use their own uninstall tool, 3rd party anti virus isn't required these days as windows defender does the lot and is free

I know how It can be super frustrating when Fortnite decides to be a bit stubborn, especially with a rig as powerful as yours. I faced the same issue, and I have no idea what I should do. Please, HELP!
