Hi

Bought my pc specialist Vortex IV with P170 laptop in Jan 2015 with following GPU:
NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 970M - 6.0GB DDR5 Video RAM - DirectX® 11

Just bought a ACER XB270H with Gsync capability, but unable to use gsync (no settings in NVIDIA control panel)- is this a hardware limitation as I see the new laptops with 970m specify GSYNC now?

Ive got latest drivers and P170SMA notebook base unit

thanks

Jamie

Gsync capability is down to the screen not the graphics card. The Vortex IV didn't come with gsync, only the octane (1st edition and second edition).

You wouldn't get gsync on an external monitor, only on the built in gsync laptop monitor on the octanes.
