Co-work mentioned that Razer is a good brand.

however this seam like to much money t spend. if you just starting out what would you recommend? I am mainly looking for a head set and mic and Key board.

I love my MX Logitech mouse. Ricardo mentioned that razer do mice with 12+ programmable buttons and I am struggling with being ambidextrous in PvsZ:GW2 I get muddled up on how too change direction and actions on my advent wireless keyboard.

what direction is it better to go in? get an expensive programmable mouse? or a entry level keyboard and head set?

That's a good summary of Razer, especially for reasonably casual gaming.

What peripherals are best probably depends on what you want and the game. You can get reasonably inexpensive gaming peripherals off Amazon. If you want a mouse with 12 side buttons there are some on Amazon for under £30.

This is a very hard question to answer, because it's very much a matter of preference.

Some people get by with £25 headset, some people spend £250 for one. And you can find happiness anywhere in between.
Same goes for mice, keyboard, mice pads, and so on.

The only information we can offer is personal experience, which may or may not be helpful to you.
My personal favourite for the house is the Turtle Beach 420X, which is an XBox One wireless headset, but also works on PC. I like the wireless type, as it gives me freedom to move around the attic where I keep both my computer and my XBox One console.
For the road, I use HyperX Cloud II, a wired headset with detachable mic, and I use this for my daily commute, to listen to phone/tablet. They have replaceable ear pads, and I find the textile coverings much more comfortable.

As for mice and keyboards, I have very little to tell, as I'm not gaming on PC at the moment. Last year, when I bought a PC for my son, I got it with the Corsair gaming package from PCS, including a mouse (M30), mouse pad, keyboard (K30) and headset (HS30). He broke the headset first, and the mouse just a few weeks ago, but this may not be the best measure of their reliability, as much as a measure of my son's destruction ability.

Finally, one thing I would add is that I will start with some cheap hardware (except for the headset), a simple keyboard and mouse, and see if they do the job. If I feel like I need an upgrade, I will look for alternatives, but I won't spend any more money on these right now. I have the K30 from my son's PC (he's received a mechanical upgrade from Prime Day, when I found a very good deal), and a small mouse I used before.

You could ask a question on Amazon. Then hopefully either an owner or the seller will answer. It's possible it has software that's bundled with it. The description implies that it does and there is apparently a CD that comes with it.

As for what's easier, it probably depends on personal taste. I lacked the dexterity to use a keyboard for bindings so bound everything I could to my mouse. But other people would doubtless find the keyboard easier.

Hello,

thanks for your help.

Yardem - I think some more about this and spend more on the headset.

I ask some questions about the mouse, but get a less expensive keyboard and mouse. never hurts to have a spares

Since you seem to be looking for a mouse with many buttons I'll mention I got this a few weeks ago and it's great. (The first one I got was had a faulty button so I refunded it and ordered another and it's all good)

Just like most of the comments are saying, I doubt I'll pay twice as more for a brand name from now on. (Razer Naga etc. cost +£70)

update: I no longer recommend it https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?55878-Gameing-Gear-Keyboard-head-set-and-mice&p=398944&viewfull=1#post398944

Hello,

I was not sure what would work better for gaming and do the keyboard mouse combination have a mouse with many buttons?

Thats a tricky question... Your Mouse and Keyboard are personal items. Each player prefers a different config or set up.. If I were you I would first buy reasonably cheap Mouse and Keyboard and see how you get on with it.

You could pay a fortune for both and not get on with either... My personal favouite Ergodex DX1 .. I dont think you can get them anymore..

You should be looking for a Mouse with Varied DPI and at least 5 buttons

Hello,

thanks for the input. Set on buying a inexpensive keyboard.

But not sure which mouse to go with the 12 programmable button one ( I think it only really has 6 would leave the others as is)@£21.99 or the 18 programmable buttons one ( only has 12 would leave the others as is.)@£29.99

further thinking about the head set. wanted to get a skull candy one but not sure about the colour of the fir. so may have to go to a shop to test some out for comfort.

Replying to my own comment to say that I changed my opinion.
The scroll wheel on this mouse is beginning to act up, there is one "segment" which when scrolling does not seem to work i.e. I scroll one time, feel the feedback (the jump/bump) but the scroll does not register.
Since this is my second one which is not working as it should then either I am incredibly unlucky or the quality is lacking.
I guess I'll have to shell out more £££, looking at the Razer Naga, Corsair Scimitar and Logitech G600 at the moment, not yet decided. (update: got the G600, loving it)

Hi,

Dang saw this comment to late I ordered this mouse. I did not like the scrolling, but I don't use that when gaming. might try varying the weight as my wrist is getting tired. only issue is when I switch back to old mouse the settings are to slow and can't quite get the back to how they were.

don't think I would recommend the keyboard I got as thought I stated gaming keyboard its not mechanical. I would also have been better of getting smaller keyboard or a gaming pad. as I have limited space.

something like

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B000MRN...lid=2LKSLL82NJHJI&coliid=I1WWQSW5KW9153&psc=1
or
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01D8HF...TF8&colid=2LKSLL82NJHJI&coliid=I1PERZ8MEO6GO9

are you that in happy with the mouse? what do you use the scroll wheel for?

Well it's not the case of happiness, the mouse was simply defective since it didn't scroll how it was supposed to. I bought a new item for a full price, it better work 100% >_<. Return it like I did if you don't like it and get something else, personally I switched to Logitech G600
and it does feel better quality wise, however as always - time will tell.

What do I use the scroll wheel for? Switching between weapons and items in games, scrolling in the browser and documents etc. Pretty important stuff.

I might have just been unlucky, so many great comments about the mouse I think most people got good ones.
