I play LOTRO on my laptop which has a 1.9GHZ processor and only a 1GB HD6650 AMD card and I can play it on high settings mate. Lowering the RAM to 8 would be fine as you will never need more than 4 for LOTRO. 1 HD 7970 will cream lotro.

I'll have you know that Lord of the Rings Online is one of THE most graphics intensive games out there. It uses cutting edge programming to take advantage of high end system's like this chap has just blown all his life savings on. You need a minimum of 32GB of RAM to play LOTRO, so I don't even know how that PC's coping.

I'm sure this extreme PC is struggling to play 15th century games such as LOTRO

Agreed. I'd suggest at the very least an 8 core Xeon with 20MB cache and even then your GPUs would probably not cut it. Best go for quad SLI GTX 690s if you're aiming to play on medium settings relatively smoothly. No guarantees though. :innocent:

I'm struggling to believe any of this.

Who in their right mind would get three flaming graphics cards and a professional level ground breaking CPU to play an arcade game that was converted to PC 15 years ago. I don't know anyone who has that sort of ridiculous amount of cash to burn.

Next you'll be telling me someone bought an AMD Duo-Deco Core (that's 12 freaking cores) just to stream movies.
