I have stretched the budget to the absolute maximum to include a monitor and keyboard. I changed the storage option as I will only play a select number of titles on the PC, mainly military simulations so a 1TB option isn't that important. Can you just run your eye over the built. For example the monitor, will it be smooth for 1080P??

Do you not have the monitor already? The one you have selected is a 75hz monitor, more aimed at the 1650 Super.

An M2 drive would be a far more sensible choice. A 500GB drive and a 250GB drive would be a waste of 2 ports IMO. If you wanted to save a little, the 1TB PCS M2 drive is a fine choice.

I liked this case, how would this compare? Sorry for the questions but I just want it to be right before making what for me is a significant financial commitment.

No, I was about to buy a monitor elsewhere but if I am going to get the PC at PCS I will get it all as a bundle.

Wouldn't recommend a mini/micro build in any way for a gaming rig. You're compromising the future potential of the upgradeability too with the B450 motherboard.

Scott just wanted to let you know I went ahead and ordered this spec you recommended today, hopefully here in roughly 3 weeks. Thank You for all your help/advice.

A couple of questions. This build will give me scope to upgrade for a few years down the road I assume and the I assume the OS and games on the same ssd will be fine? Sorry if these are silly questions. PC gaming is new to me but jumping away from consoles is a little daunting!!

Oh and basic thermal paste is OK I assume?

Yes it has the scope to go to whatever level you wish. It'll take any high level gaming CPU and any high end GPU you wish.

Yes, OS and games on the same drive is absolutely fine. I would personally add another M2 drive down the line specifically for games, makes ease of formatting to keep things fresh.

Basic thermal paste will be fine :)
