Gaming Desktop for Christmas

Hi All,
I am looking to buy a beast of a gaming/graphics design desktop for Christmas,
Budget 2,000 - 3,000.
I bought a laptop 2 years ago from this website and I made a few mistakes with that purchase. For example I bought a 100 GB SSD for my main which boots my operating system and then a 1TB HDD for everything else but I find that my main C Drive gets full pretty quick as most things default install to this location.
Which means I am constantly having to tidy up.

Anyways I am looking to play games on max setting without any worries, I find myself just picking the most expensive in everything but would like more advice this time around.
For example I am going to go with the Titan Graphics card, I assume this is the best Gfx card to go with at the moment?
Anyways I have got a quote for a desktop that works out around 2,900, but any additional tweeks would be great.
Looking to play games like Crysis 3 on max settings or any other high spec games.
Let me know your suggestions for a gaming rig. Also I want to get a beast of a monitor maybe in February to make things even better but will leave that for another discussion.
Conor

Rather than going with the Titan choose the 980 ti instead. It has around 90% of the power at a much lower price. As far as the actual build is concerned im sure keynes or someone could help you out. They are usually very quick and their builds are spot on. :)

Not a good choice for gaming, not good value for money.

As above but get the Arctic paste.
Also as with your space issues currently, the best option is to always go through the advanced install not quick install and change the install directory.

Hi all,
Thanks for the quick replys! Ok I seen you have went with the 2 graphics cards rather than the one titan. Would this be a lot better?
Will this cover all games on high specs that are out there? I have a 5 TB external drive at my house so I would prefer just to go with a larger primary drive. Maybe just the one.
Also would I not be advised to go for a better processor? I am not seeing this processor listed in my options Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-6700k (4.0GHz) (Pre-Order Only) ( Edit never mind I was looking at AMD Processors)

Hi,
Your quote works out at 3,400 euro, my budget was based on euros not pound sterling. However I do appreciate the layout. Is there something I could take out of the build?
Thanks

Thanks Keynes,
I have brought down to an i5 and changed to a 2TB Hard Drive instead of Solid state drive.
That brings it down to roughly 2,900 euros. Would this be a good machine? Would I be expected to be able to play all games on highest spec with no issues?

You could keep to the first spec Keynes suggested and remove the second 980ti.
You can then add one later if needed, currently the 980ti plays anything you throw at it on max settings full hd.

Nah I wanna keep the two GFX cards now  Will try and cut the price somewhere is. Is there a big impact by just getting a normal hard drive as opposed to a solid state drive. I know the boot time and applications load faster but is there anything else? They seem very expensive for the size available.
I don't really want to lower the processor either so going to try and stick with highest available

Hi guys,
Can I just ask is the huge difference in price between intel and amd worth it?
I want a top top gaming machine where I can play any game maxed settings. But just wondering do I need and i7 or i5 processor or are amd good enough?
Is gaming soley all about the gfx card?
Thanks
Sorry for double post

It is worth it yeah. AMD processors are someone's outdated and get really hot. Intel processors are great as they're fast, relatively cold and means you can do pretty much anything. They're better if you decide to render videos or livestream. (My i5 4690k and GTX 970renders 10 minute videos in 5 minutes in Sony Vegas)

get a 120 or 250gb SSD to run your operating system and programs on, the loading times will be amazing with an SSD. you can get a cheap 1TB HDD for storage

Hi Luke, thanks for the advice however I did this with my laptop and you are right the loading times are great but I bought 90GB Solid state drive for this and I find that it fills up way to quickly. My operating system and some other files take up 40GB. Even though I try every time to install my games, files into another drive other random files just always seem to get saved to my C drive. Even some software does not give you the option to save to different drive.
So for that reason I want my main drive to be quite large as I found it really irrigating on my laptop having to clean up the C drive as it got full quite quickly.
Has anyone ever had this problem?
C
