Gaming Laptop build for £800

Hey All,

I have a budget of £800 to spend on a gaming laptop - for games such as WoW and hopefully keep up with new games.

I have built this spec, anyway I could possibly improve it?

Firstly if you still want the laptop, get a black scorpio as it is much faster and is worth it. If you can afford it an SSD is preferred but is very expensive. I will try specing a desktop for you later.

I might be able to push £810-£820.

It would need to be wireless preferably due to it being in my bedroom.

I like the Desktop build,

Would it be powerful enough to run new games? and not need upgrading for a few years?

However yes, would prefer a laptop.

Is there any point to get the fast track or are PCS pretty quick?

Is This decent? Or would you recommend a desktop all the time?

I think I'd prefer the laptop for portability - but I'd like something that can handle itself.

That is a solid laptop build, however, if you are gaming, I suggest you contemplate the vortex series as the graphics card in them is about 50-80% faster. You can get wireless for the desktop easily and should bring it to about 820 ish. Your choice between laptop and desktop, desktop will be more powerful but a laptop comes with all its merits!

I agree with MusicGuy, you need to decide which is more important to you - performance or portability? Also you may need to consider that you might need to buy a monitor as well as a desktop (if you dont all ready have a spare monitor).
