The quad core i5 would be fine for gaming, i'd go with that and spend the extra money on an SSD

For gaming the i7 won't do any more than the i5 would, since it's a quad core one. Whereas the SSD will help with boot up times and loading with anything you put on there

Alright that sounds good to me, thanks for the advise I'll change it now! Is there anything else you recommend?

Only other thing I'd say is get the silver warranty for £5, means if there's a problem PCS will pay for collection for the first year

I think any of them are fine other than the non-branded ones at the top :)
I found one that keeps in my price range: 120GB KINGSTON SSDNow M.2 2280, SATA 6Gb/s (550MB/R, 520MB/W)
And its recommending that I put the OS onto it, should I or would the OS take up too much space?

Definitely put the OS on it, you'll have around 60GB free, which you can use from google chrome and commonly used programs :)
