Hey all, I have been lurking on this site for ages now trying to work out the best deal for myself. I have a money limit of around £900.
I think I have settled on the following spec

Chassis & Display
Optimus II: 15.6" Glossy Full HD LED Widescreen (1920x1080)
Processor (CPU)
Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Mobile Processor i7-2760QM (2.40GHz) 6MB
Memory (RAM)
8GB SAMSUNG 1333MHz SODIMM DDR3 MEMORY (2 x 4GB)
Graphics Card
nVIDIA® GeForce® GT 555M - 2GB DDR3 Video RAM - DirectX® 11
Memory - Hard Disk
500GB WD SCORPIO BLACK WD5000BPKT, SATA 3 Gb/s, 16MB CACHE (7200 rpm)
DVD/BLU-RAY Drive
8x SATA DVD±R/RW/Dual Layer (+ 24x CD-RW)
Memory Card Reader
Internal 9 in 1 Card Reader (MMC/RSMMC/SD: Mini, XC & HC/MS: Pro & Duo)
Sound Card
Intel 2 Channel High Definition Audio + MIC/Headphone Jack
Bluetooth & Wireless
GIGABIT LAN & KILLER™ 1102 WIRELESS 802.11N - IDEAL FOR ONLINE GAMING

Price: £926.00 including VAT and delivery.

However I am agonising over the processor. Should I keep the one above, or go down a notch to the 2Ghz quad, or even the 2.8Ghz duo in order to save near £100 to spend on other componants?
The type of games I am looking to play are Dow 2, Starcraft 2, Eve and the new sword of the stars?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Many thanks
Tom

It's a difficult question to answer - the 2670QM hits a very good pricepoint, and therefore you may wish to consider this processor on the Vortex II with a GTX 560M...this will be better for gaming.

For gaming I would try and get the best GPU you can. I think the 560 is quite a step up from the 555 even though they sound very close.
