I'm looking to buy a budget gaming pc and hoped someone could tell me whether what I've planned will be good enough to play games such as Minecraft. I want to record the gameplay as well as editing videos.

PC Specs:
i5 3470 3.2GHz
P8H61-MX Motherboard
8 GB 1333MHz RAM
1 GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 650
1 TB HDD
450W Quiet 80 Plus Dual Rail PSU + 120mm fan

I may be able to upgrade my graphics card a bit if you think it's worth it

Any advice will be much appreciated

For your budget you may want to consider an AMD spec with a better gpu. The HD 7850 is better than the gtx 650, it will allow you to play games like Battlefield 3 at high settings and the caviar black is faster than the standard HDD.

At the moment I'm not playing graphics intensive games, just things like minecraft (That's the main one). I don't think I'll need it for the most demanding games like Battlefield 3.

If you are going to play games like minecraft you could just get a cheaper gpu, unless you are planning to run applications that benefit from the additional cores I don't think you will benefit from the FX-6300.
