Hi gang, I had a PC Specialist PC years ago for my son, and now wanted one for myself. Would somebody please be able to help me decide on the best value for money based purely on gaming performance. If possible avoiding water cooling and RGB as much as possible, I appreciate a lot of the gaming parts have lights on, and can be disabled. I don't need a lot of hard drive space but would want a TB nvme. I play ultrawide at 5120x1440. Budget is not a problem, i'm really looking to get the best consumer gaming PC I can at the minute. If there is anything else you need to know please ask, and thanks a lot for your time.

But what's your max budget? Without a ceiling we have nothing to work to. I would suggest £3000 would be entry level for the monitor (I have the same monitor specs and have just build a new PC without GPU or case for £1500)

This is where I'd land. You can't avoid liquid cooling with modern high end CPU's, air cooling just isn't enough for them and you'd throttle the system. Again, on a gaming system, you can't really avoid RGB, you'll just have to disable it

Thank you very much, one last question before I place my order... is there going to be any new generational leaps coming soon? I don't follow hardware but would.happily wait a month or two if there was going to be a new series of gpus or a next generation processor. The other alternative is to go for the 7800X3D, which is still about as good as it gets in 95% of games and which can stand being air cooled with a good cooler in a good case. The Fractal Torrent would be my suggestion here: it's a great case for airflow. The AK620 cooler is out of stock right now, but the AK400 will be enough to cool the 7800X3D if you're strongly opposed to liquid cooling. (I use an air cooler myself.) There might be a difference in some scenarios, but gaming is not one of those scenarios.
You could either get the RGB Fractal Torrent that's on the config tool and turn the RGB off as mentioned above, or do "send in your own case" with the non-RGB version.
Now, whether it's worth going for this rather than the AIO build above, I'm not sure, but it is an option and it would be OK.
