Gaming PC - Budget ≈ £2000

Hi,

I am looking for a PC that will run new games e.g. COD Vanguard, Warzone, AC Valhalla etc. smoothly on high to highest graphics settings. I don't know a lot about PC parts and what is sufficient enough for the newest games without being OTT so I just did this config based on some things I've read on the forums. I think my goal should be 1440p 144hz with this budget so I will also need a monitor and if you have any recommendations for monitors please let me know. If I can get the PC and monitor for around £2000 then great but if not then I will prioritise the PC for now and get the monitor after. Hopefully you can help me save money with a build that is capable of the things I mentioned.

A 1440p 144Hz display is in the £300-330 range, so we really should aim for £1700 or thereabouts for the system. This can be done. I'm going to suggest two systems for you: one in the range you have given here, which is a kind of "deluxe" 1440p gaming system in many ways. I'll also do another post with a more stripped back version so that you can fit the monitor into the budget as well.

You could also save money if you have an old PC you're retiring by transferring Windows across. That could get you the storage upgrade on this latter build, for example.

@sck451 Thank you so much for the help mate! Great point about transferring Windows, I have a PC that I bought back in 2016 so will look to do that. I'll have a little think and check out the monitors you mentioned before ordering one of these builds. Thanks a lot ❤️

What is the advantage of having two SSDs, one for boot and one for games? Is it much different than having one SSD for everything?
