My fianceè is looking to purchase a gaming desktop for her little brother. The games he plays are Fortnite, Minecraft, etc...
We are trying to make the PC decent enough so that he can play games and do school work without any issues, with the opportunity to upgrade components at a later day like the GPU, memory, and even the CPU. We need to make sure this PC will last throughout secondary school when he enrolls into year 7 next year.
Our budget is approx £1,000.
I have spec'd up the following for £1,020 and I was wondering if anyone can give me some pointers on where I can make any slight improvements?
My main concern is that the motherboard would need to be future-proof to support the installation of future GPU, CPU, and memory if he chooses to save the money to replace any components. I'm also not 100% certain about the GPU I have chosen. I went for the AMD option simply because it is cheaper.
Any help would be appreciated.
