The GTX 1050 ti isn't a particularly great GPU. Something like the GTX 1060 3gb is a lot more powerful, and should last a while longer before you find its performance to be obsolete.
LL6EiTYKU2AsNha3a9WvQc-650-80.png

I'd suggest a better case, for benefits such as better airflow and cooling, and more upgrade options. A better case will also have 2+ fans preinstalled and with better airflow means you don't need extra case fans, so you cover some of the extra cost by savings on that anyway.

If you want to do a bit of streaming, you could look at a system based on AMD Ryzen. The performance will be very competitive in current gen gaming, while the extra cores and threads (6 cores / 12 threads vs the i5's 4C/4T) will help a huge amount with streaming - and may also make the CPU more futureproof for future gen titles. The B350 series of motherboards available with Ryzen is a relatively inexpensive way to access features like USB 3.1, an M.2 slot, and support for faster RAM.

There is very little difference - if any - in gaming performance with 8gb vs 16gb RAM. To help afford the above upgrades you could drop to 8gb RAM and always add more / replace it with 16gb of very fast RAM yourself in the future.

A 450W PSU would open up a lot more upgrade options, because of the extra 100W, but also because it has additional power connectors which will support a wider range of future GPUs.

With the graphic card does it matter about the how much 16gb it is? Which moniter should you suggest? And is a ssd drive worth it.

If your budget's that high I'd probably suggest going for the 7700k tbh.

It's better than the 1600x in gaming on its own, and PCS sell the 7700k with faster RAM than they do the 1600x, which gives it an extra edge.

To help afford that (and indeed regardless of the CPU choice):
Monitor
AOC G2460PF 24" LED 144Hz GAMING MONITOR
2nd Monitor
ASUS VG248QE 24" 3D 144Hz GAMING DISPLAY
You're buying 2 144hz monitors. Unless it's your intention to play two shooters simultaneously you only really want 1 144hz monitor - the other monitor for browsers and so on can be plain 60hz and £100 cheaper.

M.2 SSD Drive
128GB M.2 2280, SATA 6Gb/s (560MB/R, 467MB/W)
This SSD is slower than a decent Sata SSD. Also 128gb is very small. It's, in my opinion, a waste of an M.2 slot. I'd suggest either dropping it and saving up for something better or going for the 256gb PM961.

You could also go for the AC1200 wifi card which is the cheapest one to offer access to the 5GHz band.

You can look up reviews online. If picking between them I'd probably go with the AOC as it has freesync so could be useful if a future GPU upgrade was an AMD GPU, or if Nvidia ever start using freesync (heh..), whereas I'd expect I'd be quite unlikely to use the Nvidia 3D thing the Asus monitor has going on. But that's just me. The reviews I've seen of the AOC were favourable

So what is your actual total budget? It helps to have a clear figure to work with when suggesting tweaks :)

Around £1000. I Think it's done know just to save up for it should be and of this month when I get my next salary.

The spec you posted before was over £1600, granted with 2 monitors, only one of which you're getting. Even ignoring the monitors it was still about £1200's of hardware.

I'm not trying to be awkward, it's just really, really hard to give a clear recommendation when you're looking on the one had at £1200's worth of computer, but say you only have £1000 to spend, etc.

Users aren't allowed to give advice on specs from competitors like Acer and HP (though PC World do sell some PC Specialist specs too and I'm sure there's no rule stopping users commenting on those). A lot of off-the-shelf gaming PCs can have things like slower CPUs (i5 6400, R5 1400). If anyone said they saw an off the shelf PC for less than a custom build I'd definitely encourage them to make sure they were comparing the same hardware - and that the hardware they were looking at was actually worth buying.

I get what you mean about a the budget I'm just new to getting a custom pc . Would the last specs you gave me be future proof without having to massively upgrade it? I'm not fussed with it being £200ish over my budget as I'm having to save up for it anyway.

The i7 7700k is pretty much the best overall gaming CPU on the planet, so it should be about as futureproof as you can buy.
The fast RAM is worth having (in my opinion) as it';s not much more expensive than the slow stuff and can really help in some games. It's also cheaper to buy fast RAM at the start than end up replacing your RAM, as I discovered...

The GTX 1060 should be able handle most modern games on high-ultra settings at 1080p and it should be a while before it can't really handle new titles.

Any GPU you buy today you will one day want to replace (that's PC gaming). The PSU should support a decent choice of future upgrades, as should the case and the motherboard, and having a powerful CPU and fast RAM should help avoid future GPUs being bottlenecked by the CPU as much as possible.

RX570. But they are generally more expensive and harder to get hold of as they're very popular with cryptocurrency miners

What monitor is it? Some have freesync but the range is like 55-75hz.

Oussebon

Multiverse Poster
That has a decent range from what I recall.

An RX 570 then would be the nearest equivalent of a GTX 1060 3gb. An RX 580 would be the nearest equivalent to the GTX 1060 6gb.
