gaming PC

Hello, I'm looking for a gaming PC to run I-Racing, Asseto Corsa Competizione and Call of Duty,
I'm not looking for a monitor at present as I'll use my TV
I have key board and mouse, wheel and pedals already, currently playing on xbox.

I don't really know what I need so most of this was guess work and working to a budget of £1000-£1200

any advice or suggestions would be welcome.

It would be worth saying what TV it is as it will still have a refresh rate/resolution spec.

It’s a Blaupunkt. But I am planning to get a monitor I’m the not too distant future

I tried looking it up but didnt get very far... I can see its a 60Hz refresh, do you know what the resolution is?
One thing I did notice was the RAM, you can change this to 3200MHz and I think its actually a bit cheaper...
Might be worth checking the WiFi choices... notice the board has it built in, but looks like youve added it as a selection too?
I'd also be more tempted to go with a 3700 or 3800 processor, but that may also mean needing to upgrade the cooler...

There are a few regulars on here who are very good at putting builds together, helped me a lot with my spec, def worth getting one of those to have a look. When you switch from using the TV to a monitor, any idea what monitor you would be looking at?

Wow a friend recommended me to this site cos he said it was helpful and you are proving him right !
Ive decided that I’m going to get the monitor pretty straight away and yes it’ll be 1440p. As for the ‘small form factor system’ I don’t know what you mean and therefore, no, there was no reason for me picking it over any other

Thanks for all the input so far, just doing a bit of research on a monitor then I’ll come back to deciding on the bits mentioned above

hello, couple final questions / answers
I'll need bluetooth for a controller, does the motherboard include that ?
I can't unselect the wireless wifi option, its going to be wired so I assume I don't need the wireless capability.

regards my screen I'll be getting a 144Hz (2560x1440) monitor at some point

For Bluetooth you’d need the second WiFi card which has Bluetooth as well, it’s only £18

It’s already configured in @Nursemorph build

I just changed my order to 3200mhz and you've saved me £6 whilst jumping from 3000mhz to 3200mhz, thanks so much.

OK so I've spoken to several friends and taken notes from the points raised on here (thanks)
I think I've settled on the following as I'm going to stick with using my TV for now and come back to a monitor / better graphics card another time.

my final questions

- the case size, what are the dimensions of the smallest case I could get away with ?
- power supply, I've picked the 450W but would the 350W be enough ?
- cooling would it be advisable to have more than just the standard CPU cooler ?
(its going to be in a TV unit (door open when in use) with the back completely cut out and about 4 inches of space all round)

Thanks Alan

which case would you recommend, I hadn't picked it based on its cost, someone put it on a suggested spec earlier in this thread I think
happy to spend more on the case as I don't want airflow to be an issue

Thanks for all the help I’m going to order this afternoon
Final question
Power supply you’ve put the 550w when I proceed on the quote it says I only need 350w

The lower PSU's are not as high quality (not bad, just not as good). Also, having spare output means you have the ability to upgrade in the future, or deal with variation in GPU consumption if you change card.

I went for the 750 RMx as its one of the best available (RMx series) due to modular setup and quality of components, its still about 150w more than my machine will use at full load, but that also means if i put a GPU in that needs more, its there, as well as additional drives etc
