Hello everyone.
I’m trying to assemble a Gaming PC that will be powerful enough to last for several years.
I'm not an expert and my budget is about £1500 (max £2000).

What do you think about the above setting (it's about £1700)?

Is the Radeon RX 6750 XT
good for gaming?

I would like to have a Ryzen processor.
Should I choose a Ryzen with an integrated graphic card but less cache, or without the integrated graphic card but more cache?
I’m asking you that because I’ve noticed that the motherboard seems to have an integrated graphic card already, and I don’t want to add a third one… if not needed. Do the graphic card integrated in the CPU work together with the dedicated graphic card?

How about Ram and SSD?

Ram is 3600 MHz and M.2 are both very quick in terms of reading/writing.
I’m wondering if they will be too noisy and energy consuming.

How about the power supply and cooling system?
I have no idea if I chose the right setting.

Do I need a wireless network card or it is already integrated in the motherboard?

I know it's a lot of questions and I will be grateful to whoever will answer some of them.
Feel free to suggest alternative settings!

What do you think about the above setting (it's about £1700)?
  • Can't say if the build will suit your usage, as you haven't given us enough info to say (monitor resolution/model, refresh rate, games you play, etc.)
Is the Radeon RX 6750 XT good for gaming?
  • Again, we can't say if it's suitable without knowing your monitor specs.
Should I choose a Ryzen with an integrated graphic card but less cache, or without the integrated graphic card but more cache?
  • The motherboard doesn't have an iGPU...the notes on the config page just means it has the external ports to support a CPU with an iGPU. As you're getting a discrete GPU anyway, you may as well go for the non-G version of the CPU.
How about Ram and SSD?
  • The chosen SSDs are good (i.e. smaller for OS/apps, and larger for game installs) - but if the 2nd SSD is just for game installs you can get away with a slightly slower (or larger for £30 more) 2TB PCS or 2TB Solidigm P41+ m.2 SSD
  • RAM can be reduced to 3200MHz as the timings of the 3600MHz kit mean the performance is about the same
How about the power supply and cooling system?
  • For longevity, I'd recommend an RMx 750/850w PSU
Do I need a wireless network card or it is already integrated in the motherboard?
  • The motherboard doesn't have wifi, so yes you will need that add-in wifi card.
I'd also recommend removing the Arctic paste, as the Corsair AIO comes with past pre-applied, but then the 5600 CPU will run fine with the standard AMD Wraith air-cooler (as long as the case has good airflow - I'm not sure about airflow on the Prism-X) - if you do decide to stick to an AIO cooler, then go for one of the newer/quieter Capellix models.

If you include your config link from your order page, we can modify the order to show the changes more easily.

Thank you TonyCarter for your reply.

I didn't mention the monitor because I don't have one yet. I have a non-gaming laptop at the moment and never had a PC.
I play the most various kind of single player game (no online), like FPS, GDR, strategic, etc... from the lowest requirement up to wherever my poor system is capable of.

I'm thinking to buy a monitor with 4K UHD resolution, 144Hz refresh rate (maybe more), FreeSync (Premium Pro?) to work well with AMD cards. Don't know much about other monitor specs I need.

That's the link to the the config page

I hope this help.

That link is to the configurator page.
They want the link at the bottom of your config' page, with the spec's of the computer you have configured. They can then either advise you to change it, or implement the changes themselves. This link is in green at the bottom of the page with your configuration.
If you don't want a particular change, you can change it back.

The 6750XT is a solid 1440p GPU, and whilst it will do 4k it will probably average around 50-60fps at very high settings, and maybe 10fps more at slightly lower settings. Knowing the exact game will make it easier to search out benchmarks.

Here's are some examples @ 1440p (from https://www.techspot.com/review/2462-amd-radeon-6750xt/)

Here's a site with lots of game benchmarks for the RX6750XT (MSI version though, but there'll only be 1 or 2 FPS difference) at the game's highest settings and @ 1080/1440/2160 HIGHEST to compare. It covers a few of the games you've listed...and you can add 10-20% extra to those scores if you drop from Highest/Ultra to High settings...and if you use/the game supports AMD's FFSR (similar to Nvidia DLSS) you'll see a nice boost too.

From the benchmark I can see that for many games the frame rate drops below 60 FPS when running at 3840 x 2160.
So I guess this graphic card is not particularly indicated to play at 4k UHD, right?

No, not at the highest graphical settings...but those settings are really only for people to brag about, they tend not to add anything to the gameplay.

For more FPS @ 4K (again, game & graphics settings dependent) you'd need an Nvidia RTX3080 or AMD 6800XT....but both will considerably increase the cost of the system...you'd need a higher power PSU for the 3080...so you'd be looking at an extra £300 for either.

...and of course, some games are optimised for Nvidia, some for AMD, some are agnostic.

If you've still got your config link available, please share it, otherwise you'll just have to play with it yourself to see what these config changes do to your budget.

For example, I've got a 5800X with an RTX308Ti and 'only get 70FPS on Cyberpunk with everything maxed (with the exception of ray tracing), but if I turn it down a notch I get 90FPS (and can't see any visual differences)...and if I turn DLSS Quality mode on, I get about 110fps (or 65FPS with ultra ray tracing & DLSS Quality).

At 4k and the same Ultra settings (on a 3080Ti), I'd probably loose 10-20% of the FPS...and still get less than 50fps if I put ray tracing quality + ultra graphics on...or 90fps with ray tracing performance and high graphics. Tiny visual differences can make significant improvement to the FPS.

BTW, the 3080Ti was bought with the intention of going to 4k monitor soon after, but nothing is available that matches my requirements (4k/OLED/32"/160Hz/16:9)...at around the £1200 mark...yet.

Just IMHO

Avoid any kind of hybrid drive like the plague in my experience, they are just notoriously bad and degrade over time requiring reinstall.

It may be different as a storage drive, but personally I'd always opt for a proper full fat drive.

It seems interesting , thank you.
I've noticed that by changing the case I can add an advanced cooling system for the CPU.
I could go for a cheaper case and to add better fans.
Thanks A LOT for your advice.

Case is paramount to the overall cooling potential of the build, cheap case + moar fans will actually reduce cooling potential, not increase it.

Good cases are designed far better with airflow in mind.

You want a good cooler AND a good case, you don't want to cheap out on either.

Hello SpyderTracls,
Thanks to join the conversation.
I have an SDD+HDD on my laptop and I never had a problem with them.
How about partitioning a single SSD-M.2? I would like to keep separate the gaming stuff from the main storage memory.

Yeah, there's no issue with that, I'm talking about hybrid drives which is one drive with a fast cache partition

Partitioning an SSD is a no no really, you always want singular drives for each use otherwise you'll start to create bottlenecks.

One OS drive and a secondary dedicated storage / game drive is the best config.
