GPU-Monitor Compatibility

Hi All,

I've recently purchased a computer with a 4gb GTX 970 Graphics card.

I'm looking at the AOC G2460PQU LED TN panel 1080p Monitor as it has a 1ms response time and 144hz refresh rate which i wish to take advantage of. 1080p is fine for me as I want a triple set up in future and also high/max settings

Is the 970 card compatible with this? Spec says it has a DVI input but everywhere I look it says you need a Dual-link DVI-D cable to run 1080p at 144hz (apparently HDMI only supports up to 60hz)? I hear that HDMI and DVI-D are basically the same thing -audio?

So to summarise..
Will this Monitor run at 144hz with my card and what cable should I buy to achieve this if so? Are DVI & Dual Link DVI-D the same thing?

Any help will be hugely appreciated as I've practically no knowledge on this and have been researching for a really long time!

Yes it will run at 144mhz and the monitor should come with the necessary cables

I think so, you can verify the Information by checking the instructions manual of the monitor
