Hi
I've been told (by pcspecialist) that a courier will come tomorrow to deliver my replacement gpu (as mine is defective) and at the same moment pick up my current GPU.
I don't have the GPU box as i've ordered the whole desktop recently so i don't know how to store the GP to give to the courier.... would he have something for me to put the gpu in? shall i just try to put it in a box as best as i can?
Thanks

I would have thought DPD will have a protective case for it, they certainly do when they pick up my nespresso machine for repairs.

Just in case they don't, it may be worth wrapping it in some kitchen paper and then in bubble wrap to protect it, the kitchen paper will prevent any static building up from the bubble wrap from getting to the electronics.

They really are the best. I'm gonna buy a good bottle of wine for our DPD driver as well as our Postie and local supermarkets. These guys are true heroes at this time!
I beg to disagree. The healthcare workers, ezpecially those in A&E, know they are at a hugely increased risk of infection, much more so than the rest of us, but knowing the risk they do the job anyay. They really are heroes. [emoji56]

No, they're on a separate list labelled "Saints", that's a whole nother level of selflessness!

A lot better than the news suggests things are there. We're all staying at home as much as possible, all shops except supermarkets, food shops, petrol stations, etc. are closed until the end of April at least. There is no panic buying though, the supermarkets have full shelves of everything. They have hand sanitiser and gloves on a table at the door (wegded open) and they're limiting the numbers inside at any one time. The queuing outside is calm, with people keeping 2m apart. That said, we only have 6 confirmed cases on the island and only 6 deaths in the whole of Greece.

That's really sensible! I wish the government would step up and take that approach over here!

It's interesting seeing the varying reaction of the population in different countries. You've got UK panic buying needlessly, US gun sales have gone through the roof, then you've got the hard hit places like Italy singing from balconies.... the contrast is quite large.

Wishing you well, wishing us all well!

It's actuly quite surprising really, the Greeks are fiercely independent, the Cretans even more so. They generally don't respond well to being told what to do.

What's different here, and the reason I think people are being sensible, is that family is everything here. They will go to the ends of the Earth to protect their family. In addition, this is a small town (20,000 people) and everyone knows everyone else, so that sense of family extends out to all their friends. In a sense they're all doing the right things to look after each other.
