Anyways, what i'm tryna say is... Anyone still play the multi theft auto mods?
(basically mutliplayer for vice city and san andreas)


Then again i'm 100% certain that tomorrow gta 4 and expansions will be on offer for about 8 quid or less >.<

If they are I am so picking them up! I so wanted parachutes in the normal version of GTA IV, I was so pissed when they didnt have it... mostly because I had just lept off the empire state building and was like "oh..."

Ballad of Gay Tony introduced parachutes into the game did it not? I remember seeing my mate going skydiving in a multiplayer game.. I was like DAMMIT!

I already own all of the GTA's. Sadly I don't own GTA 3 or VC on the PC though, lol. If you want a good roleplaying community for GTA: SA (SAMP), you should try out UGRP has a mature and fairly active community, although the community has died down a bit considering a complete script rework schedueled to be released at the end of this month (IIRC).

JUST as i predicted lol, its now on steam for £6.24 Thats the complete pack or u can buy them seperately for a fiver x

Right basically i'm tryna use a game save for the pc version of gta 4 (main game not expansions) since i've already completed it on the ps3... Anyways ran into a problem it wont load if i put the "xlive.dll" file into the main game directory which i believe is needed to load the game... unless i'm putting it in the wrong place.... i'm sticking it in steam/steamapps/common/gt4


List of save games this is where i got the game save from
?

could just be the game save that wont work? could anyone check it ?

i think save files normally located in this path *Username*/mydocuments/*gta4 or rockstar/gta4*/savefile

i have not got much installed at the moment so may be wrong

Installing the savegame:

-Your savegames are located in:
Windows XP C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Local Settings\Application Data\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames\
Windows Vista C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames
-Search for files named 'SGTA4xx'. The xx ranges from 00 to 11 and stands for the 12 slots in which you can possibly save your game.
-Put xlive.dll to your GTA IV Installation folder to remove Windows Live.

I've put the save file into C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\savegames

but when i load up it has the file is invalid... then read somewhere i had to put the "xlive.dll" file into the main game directory ... but when i do that i get the same problem :S unless i'm putting xlive.dll in the wrong place (using steam version) or the save game is not compatible with patched copies of gta 4

How do you use the custom radio ?

One of the great features of the PC version of GTA 4 is the new radio station "Independence FM" this works in a similar way to the old custom radio station in previous PC version of GTA . However this time your own personal music will be interspersed with adverts and radio talk. It is very easy to set up just follow these steps :-

Simply place your mp3's or shortcuts to your mp3's in the folder called "My Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA IV\User Music"
Now start the game up
Go too options and select Audio
The first thing to do is scan the mp3's in (bit like creating a playlist). You can choose either Auto scan, quick scan or complete scan.
it is probably best to choose complete scan, as the scanning happens you will see a countdown of your MP3's
Once the scan has finished start the game, select Independence FM on the radio. Then sit back and watch Niko tapping his feet to the "Birdie song"
