Graphics card fans not running??

[SOLVED]

I just received a PC from PCspecialist and have been using it for a day now.

When opening Corsair Link i have only just discovered that my fans on the graphics card are not running at all.

Is this simply because they don't need to or will this become a problem when i begin to do intense work?

Can i control my graphics card fans through Corsair link?

Any info will help

Hello Axios,

Is it a GTX 900 series GPU that you have? On some models of these GPU's the fans wont acitvate till they are needed, i know with my GTX 980's the fans do not activate till they hit about 50 degrees.

Is it the Plait GTX you have?

Do you mean it doesn't display anything on the corsair link software or you have seen them not spinning at all?

Corsair link shows the fans but highlights them red and there is a 0 next to it.

I cant control the fan speeds at all.

Also, the fans themselves are not spinning.

Currently the GPU is sitting at around 40 c and in doing some research i have found that the this brand of GPU has something called start stop technology where the fans will not spin unless necessary.

Hi i had the same problem with the 1080 GTX Strix three big fans but none spinning even under load the Corsair Link did not display Graphics Fans so i downloaded EVGA Precision OCX although predominately for over clocking i was able to start and control fans now when idle the card sits around 35-38 deg c with the fan spinning around 800rpm Hope this helps
