Graphics Card, RAM, SSD and Cooling

Hi,

I am researching for my next Desktop PC. I am NOT going to use it for gaming, but, want a possibly powerful PC for cloud-computing Databases and similar memory/CPU hungry apps.

I am okay for around £3000 budget (including dual monitor)

Could you please share your thoughts on below:

1) Graphics card - do we really need the 2nd and 3rd cards?

2) memory - Am thinking of 64GB HyperX Predator GTS. is this the most powerful and fastest?

3) Hard Disk, is it good to have one or 2 for data safety? For example, instead of 2TB Hard disk, is it advisable to go for two 1TB disks?

4) SSD Drive - do we really need one? what is it for? Is SSD an alternative for Hard disk?

5) Best power cooling?

thank you

M.2 and PCI-E

Hi,

I see two options while choosing configuration for my Desktop. 1) M.2 SSD Drive 2) PCI-E

I am opting for 2 x 1TB SSD drives (no Hard disks).

Do I still need M.2 and PCI-E? Under what circumstances do I need neither/either/both of these two components?

please advise

thank you
